OACC BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Each year, the Oromocto & Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC) is pleased to offer three awards which recognize significant contributions to the Oromocto area.

This years Business Awards Dinner, it is taking place on May 7, 2026 at the Hazen Centre in Oromocto and our keynote speaker is Laura Richard from Saltwinds Coffee.

The three awards are:

  • Small Business Excellence Award. Recognizes a business with 10 or fewer employees, including the owner(s). The business has been operational and completed five or more fiscal years at the time of the nomination deadline. Eligible businesses include (but are not limited to) independent businesses, franchise businesses, and corporate businesses. (Company or Person) – The business must have been active for two years minimum.
  • Large Business Excellence Award. Recognizes a business with over ten employees, including the owner(s). The business has been operational and completed five or more fiscal years at the time of the nomination deadline. Eligible businesses include (but are not limited to) independent businesses, franchise businesses, and corporate businesses.
  • New Business Excellence Award. The New Business Award recognizes a business that has been operational and completed one fiscal year and up to five fiscal years at the time of the nomination deadline. Eligible businesses include (but are not limited to) independent businesses, franchise businesses, and corporate businesses.

The OACC will judge the nominees on the criteria listed below; however, welcomes other identified attributes which you believe make the business or community member stand out above others.  All nominations will be considered.

Criteria for Award Nominees to include:

  1. Significant business accomplishments
  2. Involvement in the local community and/or local charities
  3. Contribution and support to local business(es)
  4. Environmentally conscious

TOWN OF OROMOCTO BEAUTIFICATION AWARD

Beautification Award
Beautification 2

The Oromocto Town Council and the OACC Board of Directors are pleased to announce the 2025 Beautification Award aimed at supporting the local business community and attracting more visitors to the area.

This award program aims to encourage local commercial businesses to beautify and maintain their storefronts and surrounding property. Businesses located within the Town of Oromocto and surrounding area will have the chance to compete for a $2500 prize by registering for the program by September 30, 2025.

To register for this award, businesses must submit a detailed summary of the improvements to their locations with and before and after pictures.

Event Criteria:

  1. The business has made improvements and/or beautification to their buildings, gardens, curbside, etc.
  2. Any business that is well-maintained and has made improvements to their property is eligible.
  3. The business does not have to be a member of the Oromocto & Area Chamber of Commerce to register but must be located within Oromocto & Area.
  4. The project must be completed by September 30, 2025.
